Hugo van Wijk
CEO
Hugo van Wijk is founder of Vallstein. He is a distinguished expert in WalletSizing® and has extensive
experience in deploying WalletSizing® solutions and in related consultancy
assignments.
Hugo started his career at the Dutch De Nationale Investeringsbank (now known as
NIBC Bank) in The Hague, The Netherlands. He subsequently worked for Coopers &
Lybrand in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania after which he worked for Citibank in Tanzania.
After this Hugo was employed by Citibank in Germany where he fulfilled various regional
positions for Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He joined the
ABN Amro Bank in Lisbon, Portugal before becoming joint founder of Vallstein in
the year 2000.
Hugo graduated in Economic Sciences at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in 1990.
Loek van den Boog
Chief Strategist
Loek van den Boog is an IT industry veteran with 25 years of experience in the software
and services industry and is responsible for business strategy. Loek also serves
on the supervisory board of various other companies in the IT industry in Europe
and Asia. He frequently acts as an independent advisor on areas ranging from overall
strategy and positioning to go-to-market strategy, international expansion, sales
models, incentive schemes and other operational topics.
Loek is also Founder and Chairman of Net4kids Aid Foundation, an innovative charity
for child aid.
During 2008 and early 2009 Loek served as Executive Director and interim CEO at
Patni Computer Systems Ltd, headquartered in Mumbai. From 2006 to 2007 Loek was
CEO of Cordys B.V., and from 1996 to 2004 he worked for General Atlantic Partners
as Special Advisor. From 2001 through 2002, Loek was also CEO of Meta4, a GAP portfolio
company developing and marketing HICM software.
From 1984 to 1996 Loek worked at Oracle Corporation; in his last position he was
Head of Oracle Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Before Oracle Loek was CFO
and CIO at the Dutch copyright association Buma/Stemra. Before then he worked at
Deloitte as an auditor and management consultant. Loek also lectured at the Free
University of Amsterdam for three years.
Loek holds university degrees in Business Economics (graduated with honours) and
in Public Accounting (graduated cum laude).
